About

My name is Mike Hillwig and I live in Salem, MA with my pug, Reggie. I've just started a new DBA (database administrator) job with a high tech company who makes a product I don't understand yet. Originally from the Pittsburgh area, I moved to Providence in December 2004 and then to Boston in November 2005. March of 2008 brought me to Salem on the Massachusetts north shore.

What else do you want to know? I'm an aviation geek, a foodie, have some tattoos and live with Multiple Sclerosis. Anything else, just ask.

NYE07

New Year’s Eve was fun, and a bit interesting. There was someone at the party who breathed as loud as Reggie. The problem is that he’s human. It took everything I had not to laugh at him. But I had to remain polite. And then there was the terribly attractive man with the boyfriend who didn’t want to come and the incredibly cute guy who had a boyfriend but chose to join us instead of going to Maine…

Riding the T was another story.... One trip, three incidents. Here are the bullet points so I can write about them later....

1. My CharlieCard didn’t let me on the train right away. There is a delay in the system.
2. The broken door on the B-line train.
3. The red line train that stopped three times in a tunnel on the way to Alwife.

Anyway, it’s late and I’m tired. 2007 will be better than 2006.

To all of you who read my blog reguarly, Happy New Year!
