About

My name is Mike Hillwig and I live in Salem, MA with my pug, Reggie. I'm a DBA (database administrator) with a high tech company. Originally from the Pittsburgh area, I moved to Providence in December 2004 and then to Boston in November 2005. March of 2008 brought me to Salem on the Massachusetts north shore.

What else do you want to know? I'm an aviation geek, a foodie, have some tattoos and live with Multiple Sclerosis. This year, I'm in my first season singing Baritone with the Boston Gay Men's Chorus. If there is anything else you'd like to know, just ask. I'm hardly shy.

My Pill Organizer

My Pill Organizer
Originally uploaded by mikehillwig

I swear, I’m not turning into one of those little old ladies who needs to be reminded when to take her pills. In fact, quite the opposite. As I was buying this thing today, I had an “OMG, I’ve become Grandma Hillwig” moments.

But as I said in a previous blog entry, I’m on a lot of meds right now. It would really suck if I took the wrong meds too many or too few times a day. So this thing will help me sort out my meds, a week in advance, and life should be good.

I also bought a couple of little boxes so that I can take my “noon” meds to work with me and not need to take the whole weeks worth of meds with me.

Okay, maybe I have become a little old lady.

  1. Nah, you arent an old lady until you start telling people where everything didnt used to be, and you start complaining about “these kids today” or you buy some elastic waist pants or anything in polyester.

The pug meet up was SO crowded today, OMG, at one point all the pugs ganged up together and ran around the room like pack of racehorses, they were ZOOOMing.
