My name is Mike Hillwig and I live in Salem, MA with my pug, Reggie. I've just started a new DBA (database administrator) job with a high tech company who makes a product I don't understand yet. Originally from the Pittsburgh area, I moved to Providence in December 2004 and then to Boston in November 2005. March of 2008 brought me to Salem on the Massachusetts north shore.

What else do you want to know? I'm an aviation geek, a foodie, have some tattoos and live with Multiple Sclerosis. Anything else, just ask.

Hairspray

I mentioned before that I met another gay guy with MS and his partner at the MS Walk. They had an extra ticket to see Hairspray in Boston on Saturday and they’ve invited me to join them. I’m really excited about this. Not only should it be a good show, but these guys seem really great.

I’m sitting here watching the Pennsylvania election results. Butler County, where I grew up, is currently showing Clinton with 67% and Obama with 33%. It makes me feel a little better to see that Allegheny County, where I spent a majority of my adult life, is going to Obama. Armstrong County, where my dad grew up, has gone Clinton with 74%. These numbers are still preliminary but still shocking. In some parts of my home state, Senator Clinton really mopped the floor with Senator Obama.
