About
My name is Mike Hillwig and I live in Salem, MA with my pug, Reggie. I'm a DBA (database administrator) with a high tech company. Originally from the Pittsburgh area, I moved to Providence in December 2004 and then to Boston in November 2005. March of 2008 brought me to Salem on the Massachusetts north shore.
What else do you want to know? I'm an aviation geek, a foodie, have some tattoos and live with Multiple Sclerosis. This year, I'm in my first season singing Baritone with the Boston Gay Men's Chorus. If there is anything else you'd like to know, just ask. I'm hardly shy.

Air France across the Atlantic
Now I know that I’m usually that guy who hates all things French. There is one big exception, and that’s the airline. One of my best flight experiences ever was on Air France from Paris to Berlin. Air France had a phenomenal service. I would certainly fly them again. Plus, from Boston, they fly A340 and B747-400 aircraft. These are very cool things if you ask me.
So I’m tinkering around with the idea of going to Berlin, knowing that I can’t take the time nor money to do that. Anyway, this little gem came up via Kayak.

Even though some of the flights say Delta, they’re all operated by Air France. Delta doesn’t fly 747 aircraft.
