It’s been a long day. It started earlier than normal because I had to drop my car and bag at the office before taking the T to my doctor’s appointment at Beth Israel. That was with my neurologist. I’m going to be going back on the Rebif. She had suggested that we do a course of intravenous steroids to help deal with some of the issues I’ve been having, but in discussing the side effects and risks, I just can’t do that right now. Oral steroids made me incredibly moody and aggressive, and the IV steroids would be ten times worse. We’re going to try the Rebif for a few months to see if that helps.
After that, I went back to work and had one of those “we need it now” projects dropped on my lap. It wasn’t difficult, but it did take a good chunk of my day. In between that, I was bouncing messages with my new landlord about the lease. Having been a victim of a bad lease in the past, I asked an attorney in the office if she would mind taking a look at my lease. She actually welcomed the diversion, saying that it was a good break from construction contracts. She pointed out a few things that were pretty insignificant but worth noting. The best news here is that I’m not going to get screwed.
Then came the trip to the dentist. This was just supposed to be a cleaning. I swear, I’d rather have a root canal than have Sally scrape my teeth with a sharp metal object and then make me swish that damn fluoride. While I was there, the dental assistant mentioned that my crown had come in and wondered when I’d be in to have it installed. My appointment was for next week. Well, wouldn’t you know that we did that today? After almost a year, I finally have the missing tooth replaced. It looks pretty good, and hopefully it will feel better soon. I’m still a little numb, so I’m still feeling my way around that situation.
When I finally got home about 6:00, two hours later than usual, Reggie and I went for our walk. After that, I’ve been on the phone quite a bit, including Sam, my mom, and my Aunt Velma.
Not a bad day, just long…
