I had a bottle of prosecco that was calling me today. So I was attempting to make something a little more interesting than just a Mimosa. Instead I thought I’d try for a bellini.
Yesterday, I picked up some berries at the Haymarket and thought I’d use them. I had blueberries, blackberries and strawberries. In my attempt, I realized that I didn’t have a blender on-hand. My new immersion blender came in quite handy. Although using it to puree the blueberries got a bit messy.
The strawberry bellini was okay, but the seeds sunk to the bottom. The flavor was okay. The blueberry bellini was a disaster. The blueberry puree stuck together in a clump and just didn’t work well for a cocktail. After that, I gave up. The blackberries were too tart to enjoy in a cocktail.
I love playing around with cocktails.
