I’m planning a winter vacation. Last Monday, I was telling our international sales rep, who is from Milan, Italy, that I wanted to go someplace beautiful in the winter. I wanted to see the mountains and drink a warm beverage inside while the snow fell outside. I was asking him about Switzerland, and he tells me that Salzburg is the place to go.

If I can scrape the money together quickly enough, I’m hoping to go the last week of February, Wednesday through Thursday. It looks like the cheapest way to do this will be to fly into Frankfurt or Munich (on Lufthansa!) and then take the train to Salzburg. Flying directly to Salzburg will be much more expensive.
