I’m writing this from my new laptop. The keyboard is smaller, and that’s going to take some getting used to. The other thing is that it has no external media drive, such as a CD-ROM, DVD, or the like. There is a USB drive I can use if necessary, but it’s at work. This thing can run for at least five hours on a single battery charge, too. It even has a slot for my SD card. The best thing is that it’s light. What’s really throwing me for a loop is the mouse thing. This one doesn’t have a touch pad. It only has the little red dot thingie. I haven’t used one of those in ages. Most of the time I use an external USB mouse, though.

On a related note, my iBook is out of commission until I get a new power cable. This one finally bit the dust.

I’m such a bad son. If my father’s day gift was going to make it to my dad by Saturday, I needed to mail it yesterday. Guess who didn’t even buy anything yet? What did I do? I called my sister in a panic. She’s going to pick up a Lowe’s giftcard for me. I sent her the money via PayPal.
